کتاب راجع به دختری به نام کویاسان هست که در دهکده ای زندگی می کنه که در طرف دیگر آن قبرستانی وجود داره برخلاف کویاسان که به شدت از گورستان می ترسه,بچه های دیگه دهکده، هر روز لابه لای گورها و سنگ قبر ها بازی می کنند، ولی پیش از غروب خورشید به خانه هایشان بر می گردند. چون همه می دانند که اگر کسی شبانه به گورستان بره، زنده بر نمی گرده. اما یه شب خواهر کوچکترش به خاطر لجبازی با کویاسان به گورستان می ره ولی روح خواهرش توسط سایه های سیاه گورستان اسیر می شه و...
